Why we exist

The world demands a different lens

We find ourselves at the end of a significant economic cycle. The pressure that humans experience is no longer an abstract trend—it’s daily reality. At home and at work. Burnout, polarization, AI disruption, trust crises, and reorganizations affect every organization.

The common response is more systems, more control, more compliance. But where systems take over, the human element often disappears. Where there is control, there is rarely trust.

Transformation Nomads was born from the conviction that it can be different. That sustainable transformation begins with the human, not with the spreadsheet. That organizations placing the human at the center are more resilient and perform better over the long term.

This requires a different lens. Not more complexity, but a different way of looking. That lens is what we offer.

Transformation Nomads is an international team of seasoned professionals. We combine expertise from multiple disciplines: strategy, transformation, coaching, facilitation, and communications. Our team members have worked in sectors including healthcare, education, government, finance, technology, and culture.

What unites us is the conviction that organizations can be more human. That leadership can be servant-oriented. That transformation must come from within. We are not theorists advising from an ivory tower, but practitioners who have led, failed, learned, and grown ourselves.

We operate globally, from Europe to the Americas, from the Caribbean to Asia-Pacific. Our programs are designed for scale, yet always with personal attention to your unique context.

Founder and CEO

Human sustainability works on three levels. Each level asks something different, but they reinforce each other. Where you begin depends on where you stand and what appeals to you.

Ronald Heister is the founder and CEO of Transformation Nomads. With more than three decades of experience in strategy, communications, and transformation, he has advised leaders, governments, and Fortune 500 organizations around the world.

He is internationally recognized as the first Human Sustainability Advisor and is an active advocate for placing the human at the center of sustainability strategies. His work has been published in international media including The European Business Review and Entrepreneur UK.

As a speaker and author, he contributes to broader awareness of what it means to lead, transform, and persevere in a rapidly changing world.

Ronald founded Transformation Nomads from the conviction that today’s challenges demand a fundamentally different approach. Not more of the same, but a shift toward human sustainability as the core of every strategy.

How we work

Principles in practice

We always start by listening. What’s really going on? Where is the pain? What is the ambition? Only when we understand the situation do we advise on possible paths forward.

We are honest, even when that’s uncomfortable. If we believe you need something different from what you’re asking for, we say so. If we believe we’re not the right partner, we refer you elsewhere. Our goal is not to win engagements, but to genuinely help.

We build from within. Every engagement is focused on strengthening your own capacity. We aim to make ourselves redundant, not indispensable.

And we persevere. Transformation takes time. We stay involved as long as needed and celebrate progress together—even the small steps.

Where is Transformation Nomads based?

We operate internationally and work with organizations around the world. Our team is spread across multiple continents, which enables us to combine local context with international experience. Our programs are offered on-site, online, and in hybrid formats, depending on what suits your situation.

Do you only work with large organizations?

No. While we often work with organizations of fifty employees or more, size is not the determining factor. What matters is the willingness to place the human at the center and the ambition to truly transform. We also work with mid-sized organizations and leadership teams looking to change their organization’s culture.
